Faith Development Activities
Family Faith Development – (Children & Youth) Our online RE program will start on August 2 with an initial six sessions. Once we get into mid-September, our focus for the year will be anti-racism/anti-oppression learning together.
The basic plan is to gather each Sunday for “RE time” which includes chalice lighting, story, sharing, and dialogue. We will intentionally keep these brief. In addition, families will receive information about a Padlet where you will find the lesson plan (in case you missed it) in addition to optional activities related to the session.
Families of younger children (up to 6th grade) may want to register to receive an Activity Box each month. These will be available the Saturday before the first Sunday of the month and will contain special supplies related to the follow-up activities. Register HERE no later than 7/30 to pick up the first box on August 1. Then join us on August 2nd for RE.

Adult Programming Plans
Meditation Mondays with Carrie – (all ages) Come as you are on Monday mornings for a brief check-in, meditation time and time to set your intentions for the week. We gather from 7-7:30. Meeting space will be closed at 7:10 when we begin our meditation.
Adult Faith Development – We have some exciting opportunities coming up this fall. The focus is on connection and Chalice Circles are a great opportunity to engage with others in meaningful dialogue and help create smaller communities within the larger Live Oak community. These circles are small group ministry focused on deep listening and dialogue. A group of 6-10 people commit to meet twice a month, October – April. Facilitation materials for circles will be provided by Live Oak staff and groups will be created based on when people can meet. Groups will follow the guidelines for participation in a covenant group, which include committing to show up, sharing the time, and practicing listening. Watch for more about this and the signup to come out in August.
Wellspring Sources is another opportunity for this year that requires a bigger commitment but is well worth it. This closed group meets twice monthly for 19 sessions to share deeply our responses and learnings from the readings and reflections assigned each session. More information about this program, including testimonials can be found in HERE.
Class size is limited to 10 people and a minimum of 6 is required to offer the program. In order to make it possible for those who work during the week to have the option to participate, I’m proposing several possible times in the registration form and asking that you indicate the best option(s) for you. It may not be possible to schedule when everyone who wants can participate, but I will do my best. Registration will close August 20 or sooner if class fills. Due to the length of the retreat, it will be Saturday, September 12 – 9:30 – 1:30. (TBC)
Complete Registration Form.
