Faith Development 10.27.19

Here’s what you need to know this week!

This Sunday we have an all ages faith development activity in the Fellowship Hall at 10 AM. Children through adults are encouraged to participate as we make cards of compassion together. We will begin our time with a metta meditation. After the meditation you are encouraged to find a table with supplies and create as many cards as you like.

In addition, our elementary children will have a table set up with baked goods and a display of their art from our unit on immigration. Donations will be accepted for the baked goods as a fundraiser for Angry Tias and Abuelas. Money will go to support their legal aid fund for migrants awaiting court hearings at the border. Please give generously.

Are you a new member of Live Oak? There is still time to join our newly forming Acorn Chalice Circle. You can read more about it here, including the link to sign up for the groups. The dates and times for the meeting will be determined as the group forms. The goal is to offer these six-session groups three times during the year, so if the first group fills or the timing doesn’t work for you this fall, we will keep your name on the list for the next offering.

Please consider how you can help in faith development across the ages this year by contacting Carrie Krause. Let’s grow our base of adults sharing the journey with our children, youth, and adults. Many hands make light work and allow for a richer experience for all involved.
